Swoop likes Belt okay enough!!! He mostly considers her kind of strange but dependable, in so far that she can be relied on to be level-headed, especially when it counts. He used to/would have been more unsettled by how worryingly calm she can be, but after remembering grandpa + general knowledge of his world he finds it less deeply disturbing and more...something. It's kind of weird there, since it's like on the one hand it's mildly familiar since he considers her to be rather youkai-like at times! On the other hand, the fact that it's coming from (as far as he knows) a human is kind of discomforting at times.
Basically kind of like his relationship with grandpa, where he's both fairly comfortable/trusting? Since she's a teammate. While also occasionally going "WHY" on the inside.
He realizes he doesn't actually know a lot about Belt, he's just such an awkward turtle that he hasn't...really done anything about that...He's a good teammate rlly.
SO ROOK IS PROBABLY HIS FAVOURITE GOAT RIGHT NOW, because Rook is so friendly that it helps a lot with how much of an awkward turtle he is when it comes to people. Even if Swoop can be a bit grouchy when Rook teases him he actually likes Rook a lot! Rook's also the same age as him, which does help, especially since he's starting to get the idea that he probably didn't have a lot of friends around his age (if any). Or just friends, period. They've both accidentally seen each other's memories a fair amount by now, so by virtue of that Swoop does trust him more than he does the rest of the team for some things (like telling him about grandpa being a former maneater). Rook is one the people Swoop is most comfortable with in Kyr!
Also your sister is cray and wow why do you have to keep dealing with her. He's starting to feel a little bad that he's so...bad at feelings...since Rook has been getting some pretty bad memories lately and he wants to help but doesn't actually know what to do. /fishhands
re: Usagi, Kenta really likes that Usagi is actually really kind despite how she acts! Like this is what improved his poor first impression of her and eventually got him head over heels for her, because he thought she was very cute with her tsundere. And he's not really...hmm, used to being treated nicely on relatively equal terms; I mean even when his grandpa or his friends were nice to him, they're his seniors and treat him as a youngin', basically.
He also likes that she is tiny because that gives him excuses to pick her up 8>
Swoop thinks they're okay! He hasn't spoken to many of them individually so he doesn’t have a very good idea of who they are as people, but from what he has observed they're decent people.
Right now he is kind of confused about his feelings for Usagi! Like he hadn't actually remembered a lot about her yet but he has a memory where he's pretty much in love with her. And based on what else he does remember about her it's hard to not feel some dokis even at this point. As much as he would deny she's explicitly his girlfriend right now, that's mostly because in his memories so far he gets the sense that it's not actually official, ie he probably hasn't confessed yet. He doesn't really want to get his hopes up that they are actually a couple yet, especially since he now knows that it'd be taboo and all weeps.
Not to say that he doesn't hope that maybe he does actually have a girlfriend, just he feels conflicted because he feels like expecting it will set him up for disappointment later as he remembers more. Plus, he's shy, so his reaction is to tsun anyway.
